My life and love story

I got married in 2019 in England, our vision for our wedding was this:
A small intimate guest list of our favourite people. We found the most perfect venue that was once a traditional Georgian coaching inn complete with a tractor shed turned gin shed.
I wore a white midi dress that I hope to one day dye pink and wear to a party or ball.
Our day was planned with our guests in mind, it was filled with love, warmth, yummy food and a music playlist curated by our guests.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD PHOTOGRAPH?

Your favourite photos may not be what is technically speaking, a "good photo". Below are a handful of my favourite photos to show that our favourite photos aren't always the professional, perfectly lit and technically balanced ones. Good photos are the ones that aren't just flattering, but also evoke emotion and hold memories. They could have been taken in terrible lighting on a 2012 3 Megapixel, and most often, weren't planned. This is a huge reminder you that you do not need to be self conscious or worried about having your photos taken, the best ones will be captured when you're simply living in the moments.

I'm a creative wife and mama living in Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm often told I have a "good eye", I like to believe that I see the magic in the ordinary. I love to romanticise the smallest aspects of life and love to capture these to not only be remembered, but to be enjoyed as works of art displayed on walls, and even on phone screens.

Instead of fun facts here, I've decided to tell you 2 truths and a lie:

1) I dyed my hair red once and it went very wrong.
2) My childhood pet was a lizard named Lili-Pad
3) I speak 2 native African languages.

My Approach to Photographing You

I have a documentary approach to photographing you on your day. This means that my primary goal is to photograph the events of the day as they happen.
However who doesn't like a pretty photo? I like to get close ups of details, and some creative shots that make the best use of the surroundings including the light and reflections, as well as make use of creative photography techniques.
Finally, I love capturing candid emotion and expressions from you and your guests- all the smiles, laughs and tears!

It's so important to me that I'm a good fit for you because I genuinely believe that the best photos are taken by our friends and our families, not strangers we meet on the internet.
My aim is to get to know you and your vision so well, that I photograph you as I would my very own family and friends.
This means zoom chats, quirky questionnaires, a coffee meet up if you're local and count down emails so we can get excited together.
